WACP AGSM - ABEOKUTA 2019: TEN WEEKS TO GO!

Dear Fellows and Members of our Great College,

I bring you felicitations from the LOC of the 2019 Chapter AGSM tagged ‘ABEOKUTA 2019’. Here is some information to help you experience a most delightful conference.

DATES

Sunday 14^th and Monday 15^th July 2019 – Faculty Preconference Workshops.
All the six Faculties will be mounting preconference workshops. Some Faculties are having 2 days workshop while some will have 1 day workshop. Please get in touch with your Faculty Chairman and Secretary for details concerning your Faculty. Unless otherwise advised, all preconference workshops will hold at the Neuro-psychiatric Hospital Aro Abeokuta.
Monday 15^th July 2019 – Welcome cocktail at the Neuro-psychiatric Hospital Aro Abeokuta.
Tuesday 16^th – Thursday 18^th July 2019 – AGSM
Friday 19^th July 2019 – Departure

VENUE/ACCOMMODATION

The main venue of the conference remains the serene environment of the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library Oke Mosan Abeokuta – the first Presidential Library in Africa.
Facilities to explore during your stay include:

- Swimming pool
- Gym and Sports Facilities
- OOPL Cinema
- OOPL  lake for boat rides
- OOPL Wild life park
- The Presidential Library itself is a huge Museum that tells the history of Nigeria from the Pre-colonial era to the present day with the aid of original documents, artefacts, pictures, audios, videos etc.
- Numerous relaxation sites for every taste and inclination including the Bamboo groove, Grill house, Rock of inspiration, Pool side restaurant and bar, night clubs, exclusive restaurants etc.

Seventy (70) four-star rooms are available at a negotiated conference rate of N25,000 per night inclusive of complementary breakfast and access to gym, swimming pool, Wildlife Park and museum. Please note that the earlier announced rate of N20,000 no longer apply. Also note that 30 rooms have been taken leaving 40 rooms available.

Other hotels are available at rates between N10,400 and N25,000 per night as shown in the attached flyer.

REGISTRATION

Early bird registration at N40,000 for Fellows and N35,000 for others is on till 31^st of May. Payment of conference fees and accommodation booking are to be made into the conference account. ABSTRACTS SUBMISSION

Abstracts submission has been extended till 30^th May 2019. See details in the attached flyer.

Other attractions awaiting you include entertainments, visit to the popular ‘Adire (Tie & Dye) market’ as well as the Olumo Rock – a unique tourist attraction centre in Abeokuta.
