On Friday 1st of March 2019, the Local Organizing Committee of the West African College of Physicians (WACP), visited EKO Hospital Ikeja to pay homage to Dr. Sonny Folorunsho Kuku, Co-founder EKO Hospital. The meeting was to formally inform him about the upcoming WACP 43rd annual general conference and scientific meeting which is scheduled to hold in Abeokuta, Ogun State (his state of origin) and to seek his support for the event.
Dr. Kuku who is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and West African College of Physicians (WACP), was president of WACP from 1996 - 1998. He has also bagged the highest award of the college - the Gold Medal. Dr. Kuku promised the LOC members his support and encouragement in planning of the event.
Amongst the attendees of the meeting was Dr. Sunday Malomo (Chairman LOC), Dr. Florence Dedeke (Secreatry, LOC), Dr. (Mrs) Uzodimma, Dr Taiwo Sogunle (Fund raising committee Chairman) and Dr. Paul Agboola.
The LOC was accompanied by Dr Niyi Osamiluyi CEO, Premier Medical Systems, the official conference event managers.
