What is Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS)
These are surgeries that are usually performed through TINY incisions instead of one LARGE opening.
It makes use of thin-needles and an endoscope to VISUALLY guide the surgery.
What are the benefits of minimally invasive surgery (MIS)?
- Less pain
- Low risk of infection
- Increased safety – with smaller incisions, there’s less trauma to the body and reduced blood loss
- Less scarring – most incisions just take a stitch or two to close
