Dr Veronica Oluyemisi Nyamali is a Consultant Psychiatrist. She has almost 20 years of working experience in the field of mental health. Her area of interest is the rehabilitation of the mentally ill. A graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State Nigeria. A fellow of the West African College of Physicians (Psychiatry) and an examiner in that College as she has been involved in the training of resident doctors over the years. Currently works at the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Yaba, Lagos.
A US Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner and also a certified Child and Family Rehabilitation Practitioner. She is a member of the US Psychiatric Rehabilitation Board and the US Certification Commission since 2014 till date. She is an item writer of the certification examination from 2015 till date.
She is an addiction specialist with International credential I (ICAP I) in the treatment of all types of addiction. She has a Masters degree in Public Health from the University of Roehampton, London, United Kingdom. She has been involved in a lot of activities both in Public and private domains. She is also involved in a lot of advocacy work at the Community level (schools, religious settings, NGOs, hospitals, with the Red Cross society etc). Her passion remains giving out quality care to the mentally ill and following up appropriately with patients and their families.
