I am currently a Senior Lecturer and Consultant General (Endocrine) Surgeon
Besides managing emergency general surgical cases the commonest surgery I perform is Total Thyroidectomy and occasional partial thyroidectomy, depending on the indication and the patient's consent to take replacement l-thyroxine. I manage other general surgical patients referred to me. I head the Thyroid Tumour Board at the University College Hospital, Ibadan
I conduct research along my sub-specialty of general surgery and other studies like reduction of morbidity and mortality from haemorrhage like trauma, gastrointestinal causes especially in collaboration with the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
I have a passion for the training of both undergraduate and professional and academic postgraduate students in Surgery and other specialties related to surgery. My other research interest is in Systems Research. My passion also include the Mentoring of future leaders in every sector of life beyond Medicine.
