On the 27th of September, 2018, Osworth Nigeria Limited participated at the Association of General & Private Medical Practitioners of Nigeria (AGPMPN) Ibadan zone meeting held at Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) Ibadan Headquarters.
Brand manager, Mr. Nnamdi Ezeani presented our anti malaria brand called DUO-COTECXIN to close to 40 participants. Duo-Cotecxin contains two active components called Dihydroartemisinin and Piperaquine phosphate. It is used to treat falciparum malaria and vivax malaria, particularly in the case of resistance to other anti-malarias.
Duo-Cotecxin is highly beneficial as it provides the following:
1. Longer post treatment protection by virtue of the Piperaquine Phosphate component that has plasma half life of up to 30 days compared to other ACTs like Artemether Lumfentrine
2. Simple dosing regimen of single daily dose over 3 days to aid compliance & treatment
3. The APIs (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) used in the manufacture of DUO COTECXIN comes “WHO Prequalified” giving it guaranteed efficacy & greater stability compared to other variants of the component Dihydroartemisinin Piperaquine Phosphate (DHAPQ) molecule.
