Minimally Invasive Surgical Solutions (MISS) exists to educate and train surgeons on minimal invasive procedures as well as provide a well equipped laparoscopy suite/facility where these trained surgeons can bring their patients to operate on.
Training consists of surgeons performing the tasks at their own pace or time.
Tasks include peg transfer, cutting around a circular line, intracorporeal knot stitching, extracorporeal knot stitching and tying an endoloop.These skills are based on the principles of Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery (FLS).
After successful completion of tasks, physicians would be allowed to register for the live pig lab. Only after a successful competency demonstration in the pig lab will the surgeon be allowed to operate in the laparoscopy suite
