Health ministry, Blueprint newspaper hold seminar on Drug Indiscipline

Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Health is organising a two-day seminar on drug indiscipline for experts and practitioners to brainstorm on the dangers of misuse and abuse of drugs.

The event, being organised in collaboration with an Abuja-based newspaper, Blueprint, will also feature Medical Equipment and Pharmaceutical exhibitions.

The event, earlier billed for August 23 and 24, has now been moved to September 29-30, according to the event’s secretariat.

The gathering is expected to draw participants from some relevant federal/state ministries and agencies, local governments as well as the federal and state legislatures.

Also expected to attend, organisers say, are representatives of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas, National Council of Women Societies, National Youth Service Corps, Para-Military institutions, National Council of Women Societies , National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, World Health Organisation and private individuals among others.

The event will hold at NICON Luxury Hotel, Abuja, beginning from 9am each day.
