I want to let you know that we just had the soft launch of our new platform find.dokilink.com Its really not our platform, its “YOURS”.

About 6 months ago, we promised to eventually connect consumers (patients) and doctors.

Am happy to let you know that we have achieved that with the new platform that allows Nigerians find doctors and in addition easily book appointments with them.

We truly believe this will change the way healthcare is accessed in Nigeria and i do not mean this loosely.

Our work was further accelerated by a story in the print media where a patient was given a 4 month appointment to see a specialist.

We have created a personal calendar for doctors on DokiLink. We are however currently giving priority to profiles that have indicated a Specialty or Area of practice. On DokiLink, these could be Nephrology, Neurosurgery or General Medical Practice.

Each calendar is unique, personal and customisable. When a patient visits your calendar, he can pick an open slot (Blue area) and book an appointment. Once the appointment is booked, the slot becomes “locked” and you get a notification via email and SMS. If you wish, a secretary or personal assistant can receive this notification on your behalf. For doctors that work in public hospitals and are only available to see patients in certain locations at certain times, we can configure your calendar to be only available at specific times of the day.

Booking an appointment with a doctor can be in 2 or 3 steps and takes about 2 mins. For those looking to book an appointment with their personal physician, they simply Search and Book. No need to call the doctor or hospital. For those looking for doctors of a particular specialty or in a particular city/state, they Search, Choose and then Book.

Currently in Nigeria, a lot of people are frustrated by a healthcare experience that lags behind the rest of their digital lives. Lets change this together!

Finally, at DokiLink, we are grateful for the support of Dr Dapo Majekodunmi (Saint Nicholas Hospital) and Dr Wole Kukoyi (Ace Medicare).
