The Media and Publicity team of Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello has denied rumours that the governor is ill.

Director-General Kinsley Fanwo, in a statement yesterday, described the news as unfounded and those behind it as enemies of Kogi.
He urged the people to disregard the rumours, saying Governor Bello will resume after his two week-break.

The statement reads: “My attention has been drawn to the rumours that there are concerns over the health of Governor Yahaya Bello.

“I state clearly here, and for the avoidance of doubt, that the rumour lacks any iota of truth. It is a reflection of the depth the enemies of Kogi have gone in their desperate angst against fate.
“To put the record straight, the governor is hale and hearty, healthy and unwavering in his vigour to make Kogi State the confluence of excellence.
“I urge all Kogites of goodwill to discountenance the rumour as the governor will return from his two-week break on November 12.”
