There is another impending strike in the Nigerian health sector as the 2 week ultimatum issued by Health workers under the umbrella of Joint Health Sector Unions (JOHESU) and Assembly of Healthcare Professionals Association (AHPA) on the 3rd of February expires.
They have threatened to embark on another round of strikes if their 10 point demand is not met. Part of their demands include a change in the designation of Heads of Federal health instituitions from "Chief Medical Director/Medical Director" to "Chief Executive Officers" and the obedience by the Federal Government, of court orders obtained by the union.
