Dr EDWIN ONYEDIKACHI CHUKWUDI
Institution Attended: University of Maiduguri
Born in my home state of Enugu. Early childhood was in Enugu where I completed my primary education. I started my secondary education at the Boys' secondary school, Awgu in Enugu state but due to circumstances had to complete my senior secondary education at the Government science secondary school, Donga in Taraba state between 1995 and 1997. Thereafter, I had a brief stint in business between 1997 and 2000, when I gained admission to study medicine in the university of Maiduguri. Following series of interruptions in academic activities through industrial actions, I couldn't graduate until August, 2008. I completed my internship at the university of Maiduguri teaching hospital in 2009 before proceeding to Damaturu, Yobe state for private practice, having been exempted from the national service. In Damaturu, I worked as a medical officer at Ajiko Medical centre, a position I remained in until I got appointment for obstetrics and gynaecology residency at the university of Benin teaching hospital in September, 2010. By April 2016, I had completed my residency program but remained with UBTH until the expiration of my 6-year residency contract in August, 2016 when I took up the job of consultant obstetrician/gynaecologist at Hope Diagnostic Hospital & maternity, where I work till date.
